To price of tuition to attend The Music Production Institute of New York is only $8,999. This is far below the price of our competitors, many with costs of over $22,300.00. Similar courses cost almost triple the price of ours, but beware, your not getting up to three times your money’s worth. So why the cost difference? They want you to pay for their overhead expenses. This is largely because of their status as accredited schools, and the associated expenses. Accreditation is a process of validation in which colleges, universities and other institutions of higher learning are evaluated.
The standards for accreditation are set by a peer review board whose members include faculty from various accredited colleges and universities. This may be vital if you are, for example, studying to become a doctor. In Media & Music, no teacher is going to give you natural talent, only technical skills. It is up to you to make a “hot” record. MPI is not an accredited school. We cannot give government-backed loans or financial aid without being accredited. It would cost us immensely to become an accredited school, and those expenses would have to be passed on to our students, and this is something that we do not want to do. Being accredited does allow a school to provide government backed financial aid, but the drawback is that the course costs would increase substantially. By the way, student loans don’t just go away. They must be repaid, with interest. Staring your career tens of thousands of dollars in debt with interest accruing is not an ideal situation. With M.P.I you receive an education Equal, if not superior, to any other Audio School in the nation and save a tremendous amount of money. In many cases, a loss of accreditation will force our competitors to close their doors. This is because the school will no longer be eligible to receive federal and state financial aid, which is a significant source of funding for many schools. They need to do this because they are so expensive in the first place. Its a vicious cycle for them. Several such schools have closed their doors recently.
People are starting to figure out that offensively high tuition costs are not necessary. Ask your friends who might have fallen for the hype & now have massive student debt. Inquire about the calls that they get about their student loan bills going up & up because of the interest being charged. Say NO to this trap. M.P.I. believes that we can deliver excellent quality at a fair price by intelligently controlling our overhead. Our institute exists to provide students with knowledge of music creation, production, recording, mixing, and mastering. Our Price is based on the resources required to properly teach this. We look forward to giving you a free exploratory tour at The Music Production Institute of New York.
